Item Preparation

Earnings and Fees:
You will earn 70% of the selling price from your sales, minus a $5.00 consignor fee.

YOU MUST HAVE ALL OF YOUR ITEMS TAGGED AND PRICED PRIOR TO COMING TO CHECK-IN.  We will not have the time or the space necessary for consignors to complete the tagging process at the sale.

Tagging:

Please use a 3x5 index card to tag your items.  Include consignor #, size, description of the item, and the price on your tag using the format in  the example shown below.  Also if you do not want your item to go 1/2 price please indicate it in the top right corner as shown.

To make things easier, we now have a tag template.  The template is in word format and can used to type directly into to make your tags or you can print off blanks and hand write the information.  Click HERE to go to the template, you will need to save it to your computer prior to using it.

Clothing:
All hanging garments should be priced at $2.00 or more.  If you have a garment that you feel is worth less than $2.00, please combine it on the hanger with another garment to bring the price up to $2.00.

Loose multiple items, such as socks, onsies or infant t-shirts, need to be placed in a ziploc baggie with the top taped shut and the tag securely affixed to the outside of the bag.

Please use only .50 cent increments (i.e. $3.50, $4.00).  You set your own price, but as a general rule try to mark your item 75% off of what it retailed for.  Name brands and larger items usually sell for more.

Please hang ALL garments that are not small onsies or infant t-shirts.  We will not be able to accept larger garments, such as blue jeans or larger tops, in ziplock baggies.  These items sell better if they are hanging and the customer can see them.

Remember that we will not be able to accept any items with tags that have had prices scratched out or marked through.  This is to prevent loss or theft due to fraud. To correct a tag or change a price, please make a new tag or you may use White-Out and initial beside it.

Items with multiple separate pieces:
If you have items with multiple separate pieces (i.e. a toddler table and 4 chairs) put a tag on EACH piece. Fill out the first tag as normal but include "1 of x", where x is the number of pieces. On all of the other tags, write your consignor number, the description, and "2 of x", "3 of x", etc. Do not write the price on any tag except the first. Please only use multiple tags for items that are not attached to each other.

Preparing the items:
When preparing garments that are hanged, we prefer that you use wire hangers* but any style will work. Position the hanger so that the top looks like a question mark (?) and securely pin the tag, using a safety pin, on the shoulder/side of the garment as shown in the example below. This allows for easier shopping and faster detagging at check out. Remember that there will be a lot of people looking at the clothing, so please attach the garment to the hanger as securely as possible.
*Clothing is left on the hanger at check out; therefore, we do not return hangers to the consignors at the end of the sale.

PLEASE do not use straight pins, we will ask that you re-pin any items that straight pins are used on.

Toys, videos, books and nursery items:
Toys should be in working order with all the pieces.  If the toy requires batteries, please make sure fresh batteries are included.

Puzzles and games should have all the pieces.  Please place puzzles in a sealed ziplock baggy, so as not to loose any pieces.  Please do not use tape across the front of a puzzle.

Please place books in a ziplock baggie or  tag on the outside cover in such a way that it is not torn when the tag is removed.  We will not accept ANY books that have a sticky label attached directly to the book.

Videos and dvds must be in working order.

Cribs, Equipment, Carseats:
If you are consigning items that require installation please be sure to include the instruction manual or installation directions.  To reduce the risk of missing parts on cribs, we will ask that ALL cribs be set up at the sale and that clear instructions be attached explaining how to dismantle and reconstruct the crib.  There will be tools at the sale site if needed.

Please remember that most of these items are for babies.  DO NOT consign these items without ALL of the parts required.  Carseats MUST come with the original installation instructions and must be less than 3 years old.  A special waiver will need to be signed when consigning a car seat.

Tip for all items being consigned:
No matter how well you tag an item there is the risk that the tag could come off.  If an item and tag become separated during the sale, we are unable to sell that item.  To reduce this risk, and allow us a chance to pair the item back up with it's tag, you could place a small piece of masking tape on the inside of the garment or on the toy, etc with your consignor number and price written on it.

Any items that you are not able to pin a tag to need to be have a tag securely affixed with tape. Please be sure to leave at least one corner untaped so that we can remove the tag without ripping the tag in half.  This will also help prevent us from having to cut open a bag to remove the tag.

Checking In:
Upon arrival, please go through the check in line in the lobby FIRST and then take your clothing to be inspected for stains, rips, missing tags, etc.  You will need to provide a self addressed stamped envelope at check in, or you may purchase one from us for $1.00.  After all of the clothing has been inspected, you will be asked to place all of your items out on the sales floor in the appropriate areas.  We will have a few rolling racks to assist with bringing hanging items in from your vehicle.

Donating Items:
Any items not picked up by 8:00PM, will be donated to .

Sorry, we are unable to hold any items past the pick up time.  No exceptions.
