Collin County Children's Advocacy Center was created in 1992 when a dedicated group of child abuse providers and volunteers endeavored to find a more compassionate and effective way to bring services to Collin County children victimized by abuse.  From its humble beginnings, the center has grown to become a nationally recognized Strategic Alliance. This strong public-private collaboration has significantly reduced the trauma associated with reporting child abuse while holding offenders accountable.

CCCAC is comprised of 32,000 square feet and houses over 120 professionals dedicated to serving Collin County Children, and their non-offending family members, suffering from abuse. The center moved to its current site in Plano, Texas in June 1999. This site is the center’s fourth since opening in December of 1992. Rather than visiting a police station, social service office, hospital, and/or other setting designed for adults to describe the nightmare of his/her abuse, a child may now visit the CCCAC.
